    Re-machining questions

    1. In Planar, Zlevel and Contour Re-machining, if I pick a flat end mill from the folder icon in "Previous cutter dimensions", it populates the radius input with a non-zero value. Why is that? Shouldn't the radius be 0 for a flat end mill?

    2. Why do Planar, Zlevel and Contour Re-machining ask for the previous cutter dimensions and Re-roughing doesn't?

    3. Re-roughing uses the visible previous toolpaths to decide what should be re-roughed. Why is that different than what planar and zlevel re-machining do?

    4. In the re-machining methods that ask for previous cutter dimensions, is there some assumption being made regarding what toolpath the previous cutter used? It seems like more information than just the previous cutter geometry would be needed.

    Re: Re-machining questions

I would say the re-roughing checks how much is left from previous tool path (it is a faster calculation as well), while the others are calculating how much the cutter left as that is more important when it comes to corners and radius machining. The latter compares the first cutters cutting capability with the second (ie the re-maching cutter).
