Re: Mori Seiki NL2000/500 lost zero point

I have the same thing with an older machine. I am going through the Meldas 60 OPerations manual for zero-setting and the machine will not move. When we change parameter #2049 (x and Z) to 0 0 the machine will move around fine. When I change it back to 2 , 2 for Marked Point Alignment Method nothing will move. I have aligned the marked points and went into the ABS. POSITION SET procedure. I set #0 to 1 and then set #2 to 0.0. THen set #1 to 1 . No movement even when I put big numbers into #2. I can turn it off and back on and repeat the procedure for both x and z. Or only z then Only x. Same results. No movement.
