So im trying to diagnose why a friend's giant 5 axis Z axis is reversing moving in the wrong direction. I never got to do any diagnosing or testing because this screen popped up:

It took me a while to figure out that the W axis was his huge "4th rotary axis" that was disconnected and under a tarp. Im guessing this confused the controller and threw up an error message.

I tried to convince the controller to ignore the W axis and whatever feedback it was expecting (and not getting) but nothing worked. I feel the axis parameters screen is the key but I have no idea where to go from there.

So how can I get it to ignore the lack of the rotary axis so I can jog and run code with the others?

Hi I would look at the General Machine Parameters and determine which Axis is dedicated to your axis W. Possibly (Axis8 Label P7.)
This needs to be changed to 00. This should disable your Axis.
Make a note of all your setting before any changes
