Z Axis Wobble in Acme Thread - Help Please

Recently I purchased a 4 x 8 CNC router made by a guy local (more or less) to me. It is all steel, welded frame, super beefy. So far it seems to be doing great, but, the Z axis is giving me some headaches. Below is a link to a video, of horrible, horrible, quality (I'll try to get a better one up once I have better light in the shop), but in it you can see the acme thread wobbling. I am brand new to CNCing, so I'm hoping you guys can tell me if there's a somewhat easy way to fix this, or if it's going to be quite a headache, or if I can just not worry about it. I am brand new to CNCing, hoping to use this to batch out a bunch of parts for some road cases I'm building. Hope somebody can help.... Thanks,

I couldn't tell from the video, but is the bottom end of the leadscrew fixed firmly in position in a bearing? As it looks like the leadnut has a bit of slack, and the bottom is possibly floating, allowing movement.

The leadnut should hold the leadscrew firmly in place even without the end fixed securely, not ideal for use though.

Have you also confirmed the leadscrew is dead straight?

    cheers, Ian
It's rumoured that everytime someone buys a TB6560 based board, an engineer cries!
