    Blowing fuses

I am just setting up a controller box. I purchased a pmdx-131 board. I have a power supply that puts out 74 volts and 13 amps. I am also an electronic idiot. Anyways, when I flip the toggle switch to turn on power supply I get proper volts to the pmdx board, but it instantly blows the 5 amp fast blow fuses on the board. I am using 220kohm set resistors for motors that draw 6 amps. The proper resistor would be 283kohm, so I should be coming under 6 amps???As you can see I don't really know what I am doing and grasping at straws. Anybody have any ideas? I am using gecko 201's by the way. Thanks for the help.

So, the 5 amp fuses are the ones that power the Geckos? I'm suspecting that you have a short to ground....do you have a VOM so you can measure from the fuse to ground.....with the unit powered down and unplugged.

    yes

my ignorance is showing. I have a digital multimeter, what should I measure? Yes the fuses are what powers the geckos. Thanks for your help.
