Does the MX1 (or 2 or 3) control have any type of data buffer for drip feed DNC operation? I'm personally unfamiliar with the MX1 but from my research I understand that the memory upgrade is limited to 128K which would necessitate a DNC operation for a larger program.
It also seems that the "typical recommended" baud rate is 2400 (or 4800?) which has me concerned that small distance moves (.003" at 20 ipm) will complete well before the next line has had time to transmit, hence the buffer question. The entire program(s) typically will not be so dense but if there were no Comm buffer then at these short move points what happens? Does the motion cease for some very small amount of time until the next line has been transmitted? That doesn't sound good. Lots of stops and starts with very jerky motion...
Curious as to others experiences with this control using DNC operation.
Any experiences, even with running the MX controls with this type of program directly from memory are welcome.
