    4020 spec question

I have searched for the specs on a 4020 standard Z height option and I am getting mixed results for the overall height. Some places say 115" and some say 104" for the maximum height. I have a 109" ceiling so you see where my dilemma is. I also have a 84" door so I know the extended z machine is too tall but I think if I drop the ribbon and z servo I should be able to squeeze it in as long as the head is all the way down. Your help is greatly appreciate thank you.

just take off the z motor (its just a lovejoy connection no big deal), and the cat tracks when u move into the garage. hope you trust your rigger.

my door is 83" and the machines just exactly fit thru. no room for error or lack of patience. my ceiling is 112" and there is some clearance there so i think that's fine for you

It bears repeating - MAKE SURE YOUR SPINDLE IS BLOCKED BEFORE REMOVING THE Z SERVO

    Re: 4020 spec question

Thanks for the info. The one I was looking at got snatched up so I went to look at a freshly rebuilt 3016 with under 100 hrs, then that got grabbed while I was procuring the funds. I guess if you have a machine I want I will come look at it then it will sell for more -_-
