hello, I have two questions ....... I was wondering does one cnc allow you to place text on an arc (2d), and when pocketing are there rough and a finish toolpaths so you dont recut the same area with a smaller tool size ?

The first question depends on the product.

Text on 2D the current Mill Production and Professional do not automatically wrap text around a circumference as in say text on the perimeter of a coin. But they do allow you to manually rotate and place them accordingly.

The New XP Series Mill Expert, which is available now, and the upcoming Professional and Production, available April 14, will do so automatically on an arc or spline or any combination.

As for pcoketing, roughing allows for leaving a finish on all machined areas, in all milling products, and allows for finish passes to remove left over material and applies to both wireframe and machining surfaces and solids.
