The problem is, when we give the command for home position its x axis reaches its home position but z axis does not. I have disengage the belt of z axis from its motor and when the command for home position is given its z axis motor keeps on running and don't stop or engage at some point.

There are no zero return switches or overtravel switches
Over travels are set up in the soft limit parameters

You need to reset your origin positions
    par 22 bit 0= x bit 1=z

set parameter to 0 on required axis
move with hand wheel to correct zero position( look in your manual, gives dimensions to ref point from chuck face/ chuck centreline position)
BE CAREFUL NOT TO TRAVEL TO FAR AS YOU WILL HIT THE END OF TRAVEL AND CAUSE DAMAGE
Set parameter 22 to 1 on the axis you are setting up
    switch off and back on
