Hyundai L700 fanuc 32i-A lathe losing turret's tool count

Pretty much like the title says, one of our lathes is losing count of what tool it is calling up. The machine was off a few weeks, and when we turned it on earlier today, we were getting alarm no. 2040 (turret amp. alarm). Turns out the voltage on the batteries was low so we replaced them. That got rid of the 2040 alarm. However, now every time we index the turret, the control shows that the machine thinks its on tool # 00 and after a while it gives the turret clamp/unclamp malfunction alarm. I unclamp the turret by going into the pmc settings and realign the turret at tool # 01 by hand, reset the control to make it think its at tool # 01 again (press function select, spindle stop, & feed hold at the same time) and when I try to index the turret again, it looses the count and goes back to tool # 00. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Once the battery has been replaced, if I remember right, you will need to turn on Keep relay #5 bit 1, rotate the turret to station #1, make sure it is properly unclamping and clamping and then turn off the keep relay when it is clampped. I'm going from memory here and my RAM batteries are a little weak, so you may need to double check the procedure.

    Best regards,
