1. Has anyone set their Techno Isel up for Touch Probing?
  2. Did you have to get any proprietary software and hardware, as well as Techno's probe?
  3. What did Techno charge for their setup?
  4. Has anyone set up a non-proprietary Touch Probe and Software?
  5. Will the Techno interface accept G38.x (G38.2 - G38.5) axes commands without Techno Probing Software?

I know that the LC4896 Plus Servo machines control board has a J27 Touch Pad Terminal and a J47 Touch Probe Terminal, each with a two pin connection. I already use the J27 with the standard Techno Touch Pad. Does the Techno Interface REQUIRE their proprietary set up in order to use the J47 connection and enable Touch Probing?

If you wanted to use a Touch Probe as the mechanism for setting Z height using the J27 Touch Pad Terminal, could you also use it on the same J27 terminal to set X and Y 0,0 or manually set them to 0 when an LED is triggered during a manual or automatic Jog routine?

Looking for options outside the proprietary arena in case Techno's costs, as with pretty much all accessories, is way too expensive.
