    Chinese 6040 CNC Router

Hello group, I am putting together a 6040 CNC Router from ebay and was wondering if I need to grease or oil the linear bearings that ride on the shafts? If so what do I use and what type of grease or oil? And how do I get the grease or oil in the bearings? Do I just put in on the shafts?

    Thanks for all the help!

Either should work - unless the bearings are sealed and you are running on outer races- then just keep the rails clean. I'd just wipe down the rail with some grease or heavier gear oil and then run the bits over it unless you have a grease nipple or spot to pressure feed grease in.
In case anyone is wondering, I'm the twin of the other gfacer on cnczone...
