Yes great news! Please test it completely to expose any new bugs and let us know all is well ASAP.

    Many thanks...Keen

    Re: PP 1.9.3 released

Getting a "not valid g code file format" error on some files that loaded fine in 1.7 when last tested.

Edit: tried 1.9.2. Same issue. Probably not 1.9.3 issue then

Updated: talked to Tormach, they are doing more file validation since 1.7.2 and some goofy text in my code-comments causes it to reject the file.

So, not a 1.9.3 issue. 1.9.3 testing continues apace.

There was a comment in an earlier thread about file names and engraving fonts which gave PP fits. Sounds similar.

What "goofy text" is causing a problem (if you can share)? Easier to know and avoid than find it myself (I'm a fanatic commenter, a habit left over from the days when programs were recursive, re-entrant, self-modifying and written in assembler).

I'll give it try because I really miss M98/99. Those are handy for guys who manually code.

You forgot to mention tsr or terminate and stay resident in that list.
    Those are called viruses now.

Anyway, I make my cam program generate all code and only review for function. I find few problems with path pilot and already made a hand full of parts with 1.9.3 first thing this morning.

In this case, double-slashes contained within the first few lines of comments accidentally triggered the bad-code filter, which Tormach fixed within the hour after we zeroed in on the cause. After 5pm WI time too. That change will probably be included in the next official upgdate after a bit more testing.

Thanks. Multiple slashes (and at signs/pound signs) are among the things I learned to use inside comments to find specific things like dates or authors quickly. EG ###(date). Tormach continues to impress.

    Re: PP 1.9.3 released

I had an anomaly in v 1.9.3 yesterday, it went into some kind of loop in the program on the main section of the screen, it wasnt running, I had stopped the program, hit reset and run, then it went into some sort of loop. The program ran fine after a shutdown and restart.

I will add that it did run the part correctly, I have not had PP do anything that it wasnt supposed to do while machining!!!
