    size of gcode

    I'm still learning!

How do I or can I resize gcode files like the roadrunner or other gcode files to make them bigger or smaller?

Thanks to all for your help.

It's preferable to do it in a CAM program (or CAD), but if all you have is the g-code, you can do it in Mach3. Next to the position DRO's are scale DRO's just change the scale of the X and Y axis (and Z if you want to go deeper or shallower). Just click in the box and type in the scale. .5 for half size, 2 for duoble size, and so on. It's also possible to stretch in a single axis by scaling only a single axis.

After you type in the scale, you MUST hit "enter" for it to take. All data entry DRO's in Mach work this way.

I just tried this and niticed that the toolpath display doesn't change when you change the scale, but when you run the code it will show the tool in the scaled position.

You should try NcPlot, very good & easy to use software, (Free Beta).
I would get the latest version.
