Question Trying to diagnose an issue with Mach3 post processor in FeatureCAM

    Hi guys,

The NC code runs fine in featurecam under simulation but when I load it up in Mach 3 It just appears all wrong.

I attached the NC code for the test part, my post processor and the differing pictures. It does appear to only happen when trying to 3D mill, can you guys help me sort this issue out?

    Thanks for all the help!

Make sure they match your FeatureCAM settings.

I ran your program, and it seems to be quite messed up, in more ways than one,the Z axes movements have not been programed correct, taking the tool to Z.0 after every move, needs to be looked at, the way it looks in Mach3 is from the code, some of the circles you see are sphere shapes, this is from how the code has been posted

Thanks for taking a look and I know I got some issues with the z axis going to 0 every move. I was kind of just dealing with that until I got the rest of the issues sorted. I'm not sure how to fix the post from featurecam to make it any better being as I'm relatively new to CNC and CAM. Everything plays correctly in featurecam and looks alright there, I even tried matching the settings in featurecam to mach3 and had no luck with finding the IJ mode setting either. I could Show you on Skype if you didn't mind.

I tried it with every I &J combination, plus absolute & incremental, nothing made any difference, so it points to something wrong in your drawing, or the post processor, parts of the finishing program ran how it should

Check your drawing for construction problems, it does point to this, as part of your program is working ok, I don't use featurecam so can't help you with that, check with your featurecam reseller for help
