    PlanetCNC PoStep60 Stepper Motor Drivers

    Greetings,

Has anyone used PlanetCNC PoStep60 Stepper Drivers? I'm in need of something that outputs at minimum 5 amps/phase and doesn't murder my checking account. I was looking at the Geck G203V but they would cost 150 dollars a piece. these are 45 Euros per device. they are nicely configurable. The documentation points more towards hobby use. I run a CRP4848 and want to try something different from a Chinese stepper driver on Ebay

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks

    Bill

You might want to try Leadshine AM882's.
    $80 each on Ebay.

If you can solder, my THB6064AH kit will get close to that. 4 amps sustained with a good heatsink. And $32 each in sets of 3.

psst: several people have pushed them to 5 amps

What? Who said that! Never push a driver past it's specs! ,o)

Check the user gallery of working machines for the sort of work these drivers can do:

if they can 3D print a castle out of concrete big enough for an adult to live in, then they can manage pretty much any CNC machine.
