Hi to you all,
I am just starting on this forum and have a number of CNC machines to look after. One of my probelms is that i do not like the interface for the programs, particularly as I am used to programming in vb. I have written a small vb program to explode a G-Code program so that all the subprograms it uses are automatically inserted as full text into one big program. This allows me to step through the programs and trace errors easier.
However, I am now trying to write a program in vb that steps through the G-code and that traces parameter/variable values as the current CNC editor does not so this and only steps through the actual machine operations. Any ideas on how? or are there programs that already do this that I can pick up for free?
This is cool, but I couldn't get the resulting code to work with EMC.
paraphrased "can't use axis with g code that doesn't use it"
Out of curiosity sake anybody still using this program from switcher, I am finding myself in the situation where I need to do a bunch of surfacing and seeing this simple software would make things faster for me but I wonder if there are any newer updated versions?
How do you get mach3 to run the gcode?
.
Any Chance you could compile the Gcode to do the same thing but run the toolpaths like this :

Did you have any luck finding this for mach3? I'm searching for it myself.
is this still okay to use? in 2021?
