    Remote monitoring of Haas I/Os

Looking to hook-up remote monitoring of machine status via Ethernet (or wireless) with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi and a relay card.

Has anyone attempted this on the Haas controls?

These are the signals I'm looking for:

    - Power On
    - Faulted
    - In Cycle
    - Spindle On

Definitely willing to share success / failures as I'm also going to be hooking this "Plant Monitoring" to over 100 pcs of equipment. The majority are Haas controls.

Check out setting 143 'Machine Data Collect'
Using the serial port you send a 'Q' command and the machine will reply the results in CSV format.

    example:
    Q100 Machine Serial Number
    Q101 Control Software Version
    Q102 Machine Model Number
Q104 Mode (LIST PROG, MDI, etc.)
    Q200 Tool Changes (total)
    Q201 Tool Number in use
    Q300 Power-on Time (total)
    Q301 Motion Time (total)
    Q303 Last Cycle Time
    Q304 Previous Cycle Time
    Q402 M30 Parts Counter #1
    Q403 M30 Parts Counter #2
    Q500 Three-in-one (PROGRAM, Oxxxxx, STATUS,PARTS, xxxxx)
    Q600 Macro or system variable

see Haas manual for more information

I'm trying to do something very similar. Was this project successful? Could you share what you did?

    Thanks!
