Hello. At the end of this video you are showing where to put the wires for direction, 0-10V, and ground. do you have a picture of where the wires are going on your board? Mine is a JP-3136B. My black box is the same as yours (maybe not BOB though) A screen shot of ports and pins would be awesome but I might be able to figure it out from there.

    Regards,
    Gilles

Does anyone know if there is a way to save the Mach3 setup to a file that can be shared to other users with the same machines?

Parallel port should be set to EPP in bios for a 6040 or 6040Z.

Driver is only available for 32 bit OS on parallel port units.

    Ask if you need help...

Standard DB25 to USB cables are serial, not parallel configuration.

The other option is an ethernet to parallel port cable/converter.

Not all connection cables are the same. You may need shielded cables in a noisy environment.

How do you set the Mach3 software for parallel port cable/converter?

The Mach3 driver takes over full control of the parallel port from Windows, the port is then subject to individual pin state read/write and no longer presents data, request to send and clear to send signals.
USB converter cables (unless specifically manufactured for CNC control) are built to transfer conventional data and although they will run a printer perfectly well don't deal with the pin data in the way required for CNC control

Go to inventables and get a UC100 cable.

There may also be an Ethernet/parallel adapter.

There are others, but they are expensive. Dave
