    Replacing AC 220V motor with AC 220V servomotor, how to choose?

    Hi all,

    I updating my CNC lathe Boxford 125 TCL and I like to change mail spindle motor with servomotor. Now I have questions which one choose? How much power, torque? Now spindle have 440W 220V 3A 4000min-1

    I already look some servomotors from Newkye(China) LINK it is not too expensive.

    If you want to run a big PM brushless servomotor I have a kollmorgen servo rated at 3.3 KW. Plugs are broken off but I have new ones and its fairly new. Wiring as a simple powerful brushless motor shouldn't be too tough.
