    Z axis direction

My z axis is moving in the wrong direction.
After zeroing work -z goes up and +z goes down into work.
    How can I reverse this?
x and y are also reversed.

    Any help out there?

Try going to ports and pins and checking or unchecking active low on z motor direction pin

    Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately the software I am using (eding pc based cnc) doesn't give me options to change motor direction. It gives option to invert the jog keys direction. is this the same thing or is it just inverting the keyboard for easier handling?

Switch one pair of wires on the stepper drive.
    Either A and A+, or B and B+.

I'm afraid I don't feel confident to do this as the wires are not labeled.

    Thanks anyway

    Hi,

In the Setup tab under Steps/AppUnit you can put a minus sign in front of the number and this should reverse the direction. Don't forget to click the save changes button.

    Re: Z axis direction

Thank you for your advice and the screen shot. I will try this. Unfortunately I have just had to send back my control unit to be repaired due to a problem with the running of the spindle so I will have to wait but your answer makes sense.

    Cheers!

In the steps per box, put a negative (-) sign infront of the numbers... Done!
