Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with retrofitting their machine with an Anilam controller? I have a small cnc lathe that I'm working on at the minute, various electronic bits are slowly failing and I'm worried about the ancient computer on board. Basically if the computer dies then there will be no chance of obtaining a spare. I've been offered an Anilam 4200T from a machine that was worn out and scrapped. I like the look of the control and the conversational programming seems like a bonus to me.

The question I have really is: how easy is it to retrofit a machine with an anilam control? I think I'd be ok with the spindle and axies etc, but its the tool changer that worries me, there seems a fair bit going on behind the scenes as it were. I've seen machine online that have tool turrets using a 4200T, so I wonder if there is a generic macro that can be edited maybe?

Thanks in advance.
