Setting up kinematic model parameters for DMG DMU50v

Im working to get a 5 axis post written for my 2000 DMG DMU50v. Ive been using my old Maho cnc 432 post that actually works ok for 3+2 stuff.
Anyhow, I see that the machine constants MC600-MC699 for describing the kinematic model are all set to 0. Without a kinematic model entered in the constants, the machine cant use the controls internal math for G7,(tilting planes),G141(3d tool comp),G174 and other 5 axis related internal calculations. My post guy wants to be able to use these commands. Anyone out there with one of these machines that can give me a set of constants for 600-699?

Well, I did get the DMG manual from DMG tech support for setting the machine constants 600-699 to call a G7 and G141. Its very detailed and not a simple procedure, at least to me. If anyone needs it pm me. Again, if anyone has actually done this procedure and has any tips, Id appreciate it.

One thing the DMG tech said is that if youre using the machine in inch, you need to set the machine to metric in the constants, make the measurements that let the control calculate the tool tip location for each axis, enter in mm, ( decimal points cant be entered into the 600-699 constants but you have to input 3 numbers to the right of the mm measurement and then restart the machine in inch and let the control calculate the metric settings in inches.

Ok entered in the mc600-699 constants as per the service manual segment dmg sent me. Now the g7 command works. G141 still does not. Trying to run the examples in the manual for g141, I still get a o138 error "g code not allowed'. I do have mc263 3D comp turned on. Anyone need the g7 entry chapter let me know.

Looks like the post syntax was wrong, and you cant just program G141 line by itself in MDI on this control. I tried

    N3710 G7 L1=0

    N3712 G141

    N3720 G0 X-2.6022 Y2.9007 Z2.1609

    N3730 G1 X-2.966 Y2.5542 Z2.223 C-42.362 B22.459 F120.

That seems to work looking at where the tool tip goes. I did manage to dig up the original factory parameters for the machine off of the original floppys. I compared them to the constants as delivered to me and they are the same except for the 600-699 constants I entered to get G7 going so i figured it wasnt the constants that were the problem. I copied the floppys if anyone ever needs the factory machine constants or the original install discs, handy if your hard drive fails and you dont have them.
