    z axis encoder error! arrow 1000!

    I have a problem with an Arrow 1000 that keeps putting out "Z axis encoder error." Is there a scale in the Z axis that i can clean? Or if i change out the servomotor will that help?

    Do you have a scale on the Z axis??? If so then the problem is with the dirty scale and it needs to be carefully cleaned when taken apart. DO not scratch the glass!!!! This is a common problem with scales and the problem should not be in the motor encoder.
