I have 2 viper vt-12 lathe. Have had nothing but problems with machine and technical support. Mine likes to randomly lose position and then I have to readjust all the offsets. Also have problems with parts catcher and getting replacement parts. I have had these machines for 3 years or more, one was brand new(2004) the other was used(1999), both have exact same problems.

I have 2 mighty viper vt-12 lathes. I have had numerous problems with them. The machine loses position about ounce a week requiring me to readjust the offsets. Also have problems with technical support and getting replacement parts. If I were to replace my lathes I would get somthing NOT made in Tawian. But for now I am putting up with them and keeping up with demand.
