Here's the post. Enjoy!
Re-name the file from .doc to .cps extension after downloading...
The .pdf file (which, for some reason, shows up as a black rectangle....) briefly describes a few of the features. To find everything it does, you'll just have to look at the source code.

Ray L.
Thanks, Ray.
I'll give this a looksee.

I've noticed the f360 post code is inconsistent about actually doing g28.
I.e., each tool change has one, but it doesn't always go there . Usually only after last op.
Haven't had time to dig into it.
I think this means you never homed the machine. If you turn off your home switches in Mach and press the ref all home button it will set the home position to where it is at the time (put z all the way up and center table is usual). If your limit switches work and are configured in Mach, ref all home will got to the limits and set the home position.
This is correct, right guys?
-Keith
I am not sure that Mach 3 is smart enough to know when the switches are turned off. It might travel on to the hard stops.
Maybe there is a different switch than what I am thinking of, but I don't think just turning off a switch will stop it from traveling to where it thinks home is.
Lee
I don't have my switches hooked up and I press the ref to home all the time. It doesn't move...
if you have a look here Autodesk CAM | Post Library the new M3 post is there it does a G28 at the start and end, not at tool change. but it still moves to a position where you change tool then, it moves back to where it first stopped then to the next cut spot it's still doing a wasted move.

I tried using the standard mach3 post and it didn't work. The preview in mach was completely messed up. I tried with rays and it wouldn't even post. Said it was missing a parameter. I have to look into it further. Not sure what happened...
Keith,
Post the complete, EXACT error message you're getting.
Regards,
Ray L.
Ray you supplied the post without supporting it. I haven't had any time to really try to figure out what is going on. I don't really expect you to take time to figure this out. I have a feeling I have something else messed up because the mach3 post wouldn't work either (but it didn't get an error). Here is what is in the file:

When I have a couple of minutes I am going to do a much simpler toolpath and see what happens. I am probably doing something weird that is causing it to barf...

Ok I just tried another cam of just drilling 2 holes and got the same error..
it's not you I get the same error on ray's post
the new place to get pp is here Autodesk CAM | Post Library.
I ask to get the wasted move removed and a definition for a tool change position for non ATC machine added, it must be to hard, or someone else needs to ask I upset them to much.

That has been asked quite a few times over there. That is why I use Sheetcam for almost everything that doesn't need 3D machining or Vcarving. I can tell it what I want it to do. Les is working on a Turn module too. Certainly has my interest there.
I was trying to define a simple turning tool in F360 today and it would not let me do it. I tried modifying a sample tool, but it also would not let me modify to suit my tool. I haven't even gotten to the post processor part yet. When I have it set for cloud library tools, I get basically a blank screen with no selection possible anywhere. Tick that off and I get two tools. Both samples. I remember it being better than that when i first tried it last year. At least I was able to set my own tools in my own library. That area definitely needs some serous attention.
Lee
I am pretty sure NYCCNC got the lathe tool bit working, you have to have cloud library ticked in preferences as well as tool library, I am going to hassle the HSM forum to get the changes done.

I'm not sure why that POST is not working with Fusion - it works fine with Solidworks, and used to work with Fusion, about a year ago. You can try the attached one instead. It has a LOT more stuff in it, so may be harder to understand/modify. Most are accessible by changing properties in the Post dialog in Fusion.

Ray L.
That's what so nice about having your modern sophisticated CAD/CAM SW on the cloud. It's all done for you and is the totally modern way to go.
(This is sarcasm, for those who haven't guessed.)
Cheers
