Ok, no prob... Thanks for your help.

One other odd thing is happening... In the following code generated from the post, the line G00 X[ #105 ] Y[ #106 ] is causing mach3 to just pause on that line till I hit cycle start. That isnt the desired result is it? Seems like it should just move X and Y to zero and continue.

    (Toolchange Start)
    G53 G00 Z0.0000
    G00 X[ #105 ] Y[ #106 ]
    G49
    M05
    M09
    (Tool #21, 2.5in. 45-Degree Insert Face Mill)
    (TOOL/MILL,2.5000,0.0000,0.1250)

    Scott,

Is it defining #105 & #106 near the top of the g-code file?

    Regards,
    Ray L.

Yes they are defined... Not sure what is going on. I'll do some single stepping and see whats up. Seems like sometimes it goes past this line and sometimes it does not.

    Scott,

There is nothing wrong in the g-code snippet you've posted, so not much I can do to help. Are you sure that is the line Mach3 is unhappy with? The only time I've seen Mach3 just stop is when there is an obvious syntax error in the code, so I would step through the code and see exactly where it stops executing.

    Ray L.

    Scott,

You can try the attached if you like. This is the version I've been using for years. You may want to change some of the default parameter values to suit your needs.

Funny thing about Mach3: the line being highlighted is NOT always the reason Mach3 stopped. It is possible that the halt is due to the M6 command several lines down. Yeah, strange but true.

How to tell? Put in a couple of dummy g1 moves just before the M6, with the cutter out of the way.

    Cheers
    Roger
