    GeckoDrive 203 problems?

I'm kind of concerned that the chopper transistors on my 2 brand new GeckoDrive 203V's are not seated flat.If you look close they are not touching the heatsink. I do like that they use thermal compound instead of pads but I'd like to see them seated flat.
Has anyone had problems with blowing them up from long run overheating?

Why do I ask? Just gun shy since these are replacing a ShopSabre Chinese stepper driver that blew up. They recommended 203V's since they are experiencing problems with the knockoff they are using. Upon further inspection of the Chinese OEM drive all of those screws that hold the transistors down were loose a full turn. They use a thermal pad so I can see them overheating and crapping out.

    Thanks,

    Ferny.

If they go bad, Gecko will replace them for free.
