Hi there, I have just put a 1999 VMC 760 in the back shed and powered it up today. Problem is I need to cut an opening for the cabling around the Z axis so it doesn't hit the roof, I have already done this for the Z motor.

I haven't used the older Heidenhain controller before it's a 370 controller. I need to wind down the z axis before I home it, how can I do this? Is it a MOD function, couldn't find anything in the books regarding this dilemma.

With a Fanuc you can jog away from the limit switch or use the overtravel override. I just need to get a bit of room around the z axis and I have stopped it about 150mm from z home position.

Thanks for any help,

Jimmy
