Speed control on Gerber Advantage Router 600

    Hi all,

I'm having a problem with my AR600 that is currently making it unusable. I've narrowed down the issue to a problem with the spindle speed control. Previously, I would adjust the dial to change the spindle speed. The display would show the speed in RPMs (dropping the final digit, so if I was setting it at 10,000 rpm for plywood it would show as 1,000). At some point however the speed control seems to have reset or been changed, and now shows a frequency reading instead, going from 0-60. If I try and operate the machine it will trace the correct path, but the spindle will spin incredibly slowly, eventually shutting itself off due to a fault. I've reached out to Gerber, but the machine is no longer supported so I'm not getting any help there. I've poured over every manual I have on hand, but can't find what setting possibly could have been changed or how. I'm worried that it had some special setting coming from the factory that has since been wiped.

If it helps, here's the details on what I'm running:
    Gerber Advantage Router 600
    Saftronics G3+ motor control
    Yaskawa JVOP-100 digital operator
    Gerber Omega Artpath software

This is the first shop I've been in charge of that has had a CNC router, and I'm pretty much entirely self-taught in operating it, etc. Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice. And feel free to let me know if this isn't the forum I should be posting this in.

    Thanks again,
    Neil

    saludos

    Walter
