Well can they? I'm new toSolid Edge, but really impressed with how nice of renderings it does. Here is one the company I work for did. It's not the best but I think it's pretty good.

I've been using SE for about 2 years, and love it. I am familiar with SW and AutoCad, but dont use them. The problem I run into is most dont use and havnt heard of SE. Most of what I do is for myself.
Very nice renderings I must say.

Pretty sweet renderings. I've not worked a whole pile w/ rendering, we do use them now for all of our product books and instruction manual's so I'm starting to get some experiance. Below is a rendering I did, was one of my first. I've learned a bit since then but it's all I have that I can currently post so..
This was done in SW 2005. I've redone some of it since as there was some flaw's to the actual model. I'll let the experts try figure out what they were.
