Exclamation Help Needed: Multicam 5000 Series

My company has a Multicam 5000 series CNC router. The pendant is not responding. It displays the following message: KMD20 v 01.20 SN=2023. I've tried restarting the machine, hitting the main power, hitting the emergency restart, all of the breakers are good - Nothing will clear the message. The machine worked yesterday. This morning, I turned it on to this. I'm completely stuck.

Hi, with the power off, check all the connections, pull, blow off with compressed air and re-seat all the external connections, check the internal connections next, often times with weather and temperature changes things can come loose, if that doesn't do it, it may be a bad pendant, have you tried calling Multicam, they should be able to help.

Re: Help Needed: Multicam 5000 Series

My boss was on the phone with Multicam for nearly 4 hours. They had him rewire a few parts in the cabinet. After all of that, they determined the most likely cause is a bad pendant. We have a new one in the mail, and we should be up and running (hopefully) tomorrow.

Glad you were able to get through and get an answer, Multicam can definitely be hit and miss on their support, a lot of it depends on your local dealer and the age of your machine, if you ever need help outside of Multicam though, talk to - Maurice Phelps at MCP Service - 678-548-1483, he has helped me in the past when i couldn't get answers from Multicam.
