I've taken up my cnc plasma build after a 6 month break due to my old plasma crapping out.
I brought a (Australian brand) BOC 100 amp unit.
I've had all the electronics working for some time now using the machine to scribe sheets.
I finally got a plasma hooked up today.
When to cut a line test.
Got through 3 lines and the motors stopped working.
I stopped the machine and reset Mach.
Motors came back to good and tried again. Got through 4 lines and same thing motors stopped.

Not I can't get them to work again
I've reset everything. Still no good.

I change driver on one of the motors and it works.
So leads me to believe the drivers have crap them self.
Now could this be caused from electrical noise?

So I've figured it out.
It wasn't the drivers but the bob board that crapped itself.
Got a new one and where moving again.
Stuck a grounding rod in the ground and a heap of those magnetic clip on things.
And we are cutting.
The only problem we have is the computer freezes when cutting but comes back to life when not cutting.
But the motors still run and the machine seems to be running the right code even thoe the comp is frozen.

Now I just need to figure out heights and speeds.
I've tried running a few line test but can't seem to get it to cut nicely.

Guess I just need to play abound a bit more.
But I'm soo happy that after months of trials and tribulations we finally have a. Machine that is doing basic cuts.
I'm sure there is still heaps more I need to learn to get this thing sailed in properly but we are almost there
