    Closed cell foam routing issue.

    Hi there,

Does anyone know how I can prevent the worm like chips from routing closed cell foam from wrapping around the bit?

I'm using adaptive clearing to try to keep the worms as short as possible, with just 2mm stepover on 1/4" d/c spiral bit but some of the wider pocket areas, adaptive takes on a Helix type move that creates long enough worms to wrap around the bit, consequently these melt the top edge of the pocket.

Adaptive clearing over standard pocketing has definitely reduced the number of incidents just not sure now there's much else I can try toolpath wise. Different bit possibly? Any ideas?

    Cheers
