    3D CAM announcement?

I got an email announcing Dolphin V14 supporting full 3D CAM. It has a price tag of $1995... Do those of us that have V13 get this as a free upgrade? significantly discounted upgrade? Just wondering...

I had to give up on Dolphin. I purchased it back around 2006, and way back then they were promising 3d cad/cam. Only took them 10 years. I couldn't wait anymore.

I really like the looks of what I see tho, but I am pretty set into GeoMagic/Alibre and SprutCam now.

Turns out all you have to do is uninstall v13, download and install v14 - install your license.

I'm working on getting a tool path generated now for some trial cuts.

Turns our you need an upgraded license to run the new version fully. I emailed dolphin and I'm awaiting a response.

Did you hear anything from Dolphin on an upgrade?

Dolphin replied that updates are free, but upgrades are not. V14 is an upgrade from v13 and therefore not free for current users. : /

OK... what did Dophin say that the upgrade would cost us loyal, paid up users for the upgrade to V14? I can't find any pricing on the dolphincadcamusa.com website.

    I didn't ask.

I downloaded fusion 360 from autodesk. It does all I need and more - and the price is right - free.
