HI All,
I am another newbie trying to use a laser engraver for my new business burning my logo onto wooden objects.
I have purchase a 'cheap' chinese 1600mW DIY desktop blue laser engraving machine from ebay with no instructions or software.
After a bit of searching it seems that Benbox Laser engraver is the standard software to use, but again no instructions other than looking on the forums to see what other people use for settings.
I have tried several different settings but the engravings / burns are really bad.i know this because i also purchased an even cheaper small engraver with software and it works perfectly, its just too small for my needs.
I was hoping someone might be able to advise what settings are needed to burn my logo onto soft wood, using .png jpg images.
I have attached some images of the settings i am using along with the result .
Any advice would be really appreciated

Is it properly focused for the height of the wood you're using?

you could try speed 800 to 1100, timing 4 to 7, 7 is hotter, and scan by line has better reseloution than scan by Z
