    Colombo RS73 cooling fan question.

    Hiya,

I got this Colombo RS73 spindle in 2008 on a small K2 machine. Situation changed and it got put into climate controlled storage until recently. I have everything set up and I can turn the spindle on and off from the machine and I can adjust the rpm of the spindle. What is bothering me is the cooling fan doesn't come on. I don't know if it's supposed to come on with the spindle, or if there is a temperature sensor? I have only run it for a couple minutes until I know for sure. tia

In case anyone else has a similar question, I heard back from Colombo. The fan is powered separately from the spindle. It is a 220vac fan. I need to dig in and see how K2 wired it.

This is an old thread, but still, how did you connect the spindle and fan? This image is from my rs73 and I think three brown lines should connect to the vfd, and two black lines straight to 230V/50Hz. Am I right?
