    Large machine requires sturdy slot or rail

    Hi guys, i am looking to build a 8 x 4 x 4 foot machine (hot wire cutter) i need rails or T slots and motors. I have seen allot of people use extruded aluminum to build these machines, any good sources for materiel ?

    Titan, this company builds these kinds of frames. If you would like some assistance in either building or getting the material, check out the site and send them an email or call.

    They are too weak for 8x4. You need heavy grade if you don't want it to take all day to cut one job. Heavy grade is the stuff with twice as thick walls. I used 9090. For an example search Kjn aluminium profile and find 9090 heavy.
