yes, it is an encvoder output from my VFS5 drive to a2100....

sabre machine??? looking... see arrow, bprob same. cable 2615...., from vfs5 C1 to A2100 PCA1 axis port. this is the encoder output sig from spindle to cnc so it can tell where it is and what speed is running....

Re: cincinnati sabre 4th axis problem

oops, my bad. sorry. don't know where my mind was with my last reply (actually I probably don't want to blame it on the beer)... try this instead...

my prints on sabre show on page 24 of 40 the upto speed output relay CR13. this relay gets turned on by wire 2402 from page 26 line 25...

This is output2 from top of VFS5 C8 connector. seldom is the WIRE bad. check that CR13 is turning on an off. this goes back to a2100 as at speed signal.

it goes into a211 on page 11 of 40, cr13 as wire 111`2 from relay thru various plugs (where the sig can get lost) and becomes io screen input 100:00/24

The setpoint rpm VEXT is compared to the actual speed VAVG andif within 10rpm, upto speed turns on; turns back off when 5 rpm off. cnc has timer like 5-8 sec: if not seen when it should be seen in that time, it gives the error you see.

use your a2100 io screen to verify that input comes on/off.

Re: cincinnati sabre 4th axis problem

your io screen look correct with upto speed on except when accel or decelerating... so no clue why cnc would be reporting not to speed? wierd...

related to 1205 loose? no clue... maybe you need to talk to fives tech guys...

one of the 1205 wires ends up as 1224 to front of vfs5 C3 as HOME switch input.... not sure why this would effect anything on upto speed. pix attached is sheet 12 of my sabre diagrams...
