Hi everybody,
I made my cnc router machine and it works great . But when carving 2 1/2 D models it takes a lot of time as the x and y axis have to wait the z axis to finish its up and down movements.
I saw other machines on the internet where all the axis speeds are consistent.
I need your advice please on how to reduce wood carvings times.

Set all 3 axes to the same feedrate and increase til the machine cant take the speed. Back off a little. That's as fast as you can go

Are you using a screw of different pitch on the Z axis, possibly because of worries that you'll need more of a mechanical advantage? Run a screw using the same pitch as the X and Y axis, then if necessary use a bigger motor. In 3D carving the Z will be the speed limit; however fast it travels cutting speed will dictate that of the X and Y.
