    Toolchain for gbrl?

    I make my own desktop cnc router and. I can engraving and cuting with inkscape but 3d(2.5d) cant. What is the best free toolchain for 3d milling?
    Please help.

    Don't know about what the best might be, but you're welcome to take a look at GCAM SE - it does take a little getting used to, but it's what I use. Take a look at the wiki section for a short introduction on how it works or check out the screenshots...

    I use Blendercam. Its a python add-on for blender and both are open source projects.

    If you want 3D for milling, then it is hard to beat Autodesk Fusion 360. It is a full featured CAD/CAM software that is available for free to hobbyists, and companies that make less than $100,000 per year.
