    Tool Measure nk105 Weihong

I have a router with a weihong NK105 controller. Has anyone an idea how to measure the tool after tool change? I can set offset for different tools, but when I change the tool how should I be sure that it is inserted with the same offset as I measured before starting the job? When the tool change is requested, the machine goes into pause mode and I can only continue or stop. All other functions on the DSP are not recognized in the pause state.

The solution in industry is usually independent of the controller - set and save your tool offsets, then use a tool holding system that displays an acceptable degree of repeatability.

Tormach has their TTS system, some people use endmill holders in collets (bumping the bottom of the end mill holder against the face of the collet), etc. Your solution is dependent on your spindle setup.

I am having the same issue with my NK105 G3 controller. " When the tool change is requested, the machine goes into pause mode and I can only continue or stop. All other functions on the DSP are not recognized in the pause state.

Sorry, I have no news on that topic. A workaround is to make multiple cnc files.
