    4th axis on Tormach 770 Sprutcam 10

I've learned what "trial and error" means. Sprut manual is thin on 4th axis setup. I have a "V" notch that does NOT have parallel sides (looks like this \___| ). I use a 2D contour to cut the right side then a 5D conture to cut the left side. In the simulation it looks good. The base surface is about .174" but after the mill cut it actually cuts .39xxx. Seems that the left sidewall is at 30 degrees but it seems to be way far left.

Suggestions? I've tried some machine setup parameter changes .

Thanks in advance. Any links or ideas are appreciated.
Here's the attached Sprut file. One simple notch and one with 30 degree side.

Any chance it is a cutter radius compensation problem? Is your excess cut 1/2 of, or the cutter diameter?

A suggestion was made to include a fillet in the corners. I haven't had to do this is any other sprutcam projects but I'm going to try it.

Seems that Sprutcam does some odd things when there is a square corner when using rotary. I'm going to try all scenarios this weekend hopefully. I still think, as you do, that there's a compensation offset bug.

    thanks.
