Question Mach3 ref all home not workin

I have the limit switches working!!!

The only thing I need to do is have homing

I directed the homemach3.c in the config but no movement.

    few questions I have is

    1) Do you need to modify the Homemach3.c if so can I get an example on how to do that?

    2) Can I use a limit switch as my home switch?

    3) Do I need to setup or modify anything in Mach3?

Re: Mach3 ref all home not workin

    Hi Mac7988,

    1) Do you need to modify the Homemach3.c if so can I get an example on how to do that?
Yes. The included HomeMach3.c only prints messages to the Console received from Mach3 to the KMotion.exe Console Screen. Are you seeing those?

The first step is to figure out how to home your axes using KMotion.exe C Programs. Then once you have code that works for each of your axes merge it into the HomeMach3.c program. See the example SimpleHomeIndexFunctionTest.c

Can I use a limit switch as my home switch?
Yes. The limits must be saved and disabled, then after homing and moving out of the limit they can be re-enabled. The SimpleHomeIndexFunction does this for you.

Do I need to setup or modify anything in Mach3?
    Not normally

    HTH
