    saving part with balloons added

Imported solid model .x_t from design X into Solidworks, added balloons for part ID to a tabulation. Went to save part as ,sldprt and it said it could not, went to export as .x_t and also as IGES and it saved it but the balloons are missing when I load it back in. Also I wanted to just add in the tabulation to the model and make it all one file but when I choose table and start trying to fill it in that fails also. Baffled on how to do something that should be painfully simple.

I don't know what version of SWX you are using, but you can save tables and balloons in 2014. When you export the model they do disappear as you stated.
Depending on their orientation the balloons become skewed. Make sure you have all annotations viewable.
