    Windows Strip Down

I've just picked up a second hand PC for running my router.
It has windows XP pre-installed with no other software onboard.
The windows software comes with a few games programs and other peripheral
Programs loaded as part of windows. (nothing shows up in the add/remove hardware programs in control panel)
My question is, how do I strip down windows to its bare operating system to
run Mach3. Do I just delete the folder and remove them from the recycle bin or do I have to do some sort of clean up in registry or other area's of windows to do a complete clean up.
I want to avoid any wanderings of windows whilst running the CNC software.

    Thanks
    Cam

Run the Mach3 driver test. If the results are good, don't do anything. If you have problems, there is an XP optimisation list at the ww.machsupport.com website.
