The driver just woke me up, he's on the way here, any minute.
I'll be able to get it off loaded and go back to my beauty sleep.

    It's here!
Some "little" truck they sent, still a 28 foot semi.
Hope the neighbors on their ways to work weren't too mad he had the road blocked off.
    Oh well.
The driver actually wanted to deliver it late last night but I was at work,
he took it home with him and dropped it off on his way back to work this morning, pretty cool.
Covered it with a nice bright blue tarp, hope the UPS guy doesn't smash into it.
    I'm off to bed again.
    Later, Hoss

Then there was the time I got a big crate delivered, and he wouldn't come up the driveway. Insisted my wife help him pull the pallet jack up the driveway.

I haven't heard the last of that one yet!

Congrats on getting it in da' house!

    Cheers,

p.s. is that big green lathe considered a "Bench Top Machine" or will this thread now be in jeopardy of being moved?

I need to take it apart and load it on the truck to haul around back.
Looks like my choices are Sunday in 40 Degree rain or take Monday off and
enjoy the heat wave of 49.
    Here's to a long weekend.
I need to start a new thread soon just for this mill.

Enjoy your heatwave. It is 18deg here. (PA)

I hate the cold. Every year I say I'm going to get heat for my shop and it never happens. Maybe one day.

I said I'd update when I got it, Well the scale came yesterday. Got it in 3 weeks so that's an improvement.
Still never answered my emails or provided tracking info.
I'm glad it came before Xmas break so I'll be able to get the DRO installed on the mill now.
The guy could have a much better reputation if he just took a few minutes
to send people a shipping notice.
    What cha gonna do.
I'll give him positive feedback this time because the scale was cheap and in good shape.
I'll also mention the poor communication that so many other "positives" include.

    Hoss,

800watt is probably located in China, so three weeks is not that bad.

Harbor Freight takes 5 months to ship parts!

    Jeff...
    Nope, he's in Chino California.

    from the listing on Ebay.

    Shipping and handling
    Item location: USA, United States
    Shipping to: United States

You can read some of the other feedback, some people get things in 2 days.
    most likely west coasters.
I'm happy with what I got and what I paid.

there are a lot of people who don't stock items they list. When someone buys the item from them, they turn around and order it from their 'source' and have it drop shipped via cheapest method available. His communication is terrible because the only thing he'd be able to tell you is 'I placed the order with my supplier and I have no idea when you'll get it'.

800watts name is JIAN XIAO and my
scale came from Hardpoint Industries in Chino CA
the address is for a UPS store.
Hardpoint is his mortar business in Cerritos CA, 34 miles away.
Maybe he has a house in Chino.
Who cares, I got mine so I'm happy.

I had my worries about the scale from you know who,
the readout was on but none of the buttons worked and the readout was stuck on 0000 when moved,
same thing after taking the battery out for a minute to reset, still nothing.
Hooked it up to the Shumatech DRO though and it works just fine.
Glad that's what I bought it for because it would be useless without the DRO.

I posted a video for some Freak converts but it could be helpful to the many
regular CNC converts. Made a mod to the base that lets the ballscrew be changed much easier.
