need help, what is a good way to tes the sharpness of your bits

so i have a lot of bits left over from the previous operator and i am trying to figure out a way to test/examine the sharpness of the bit without having to use every bit in the machine and then checking the quality of the cuts on the material (it would take a long time with the amount of duplicate bits i have) so if there are any tricks or tips for checking the sharpness of my bits(cutguru) by hand that would save me a lot of time

Scrape the back of your fingernail with the edge. If it removes material from your nail, it's still sharp. If it just slides across the nail, it's dull.
