Hi,

I am trying to use ProTuner with my DM556 stepper drive.
When I try the DM556 V2.0 profile I can open the com-port without error. I then select Operation/Parameters, but when i then push "Read" I get "Communication Error. Please check the RS232 cable connection and restart ProTuner." The cable is OK and no amount of restarts help.
If I try the DM556 V1.0 profile I can also open the com-port, but when I select Tuning/config I get "Receive Device Num failed!" a number of times, then "CRC failed!" repeatedly.
After looking at http://www.leadshine.com/UploadFile/...s_20131207.pdf and comparing with the label/serialnumber on my drive Attachment 315644 I now beleive I've bought a fake.

So, my questions are:

1) Can anyone confirm that this is a fake (or not).

2) If a fake, have anyone bought similar and had any luck using Protuner with it?

3) Any other help anyone can give me on methods to SW-set the microstepping.

Well, turned out to be a cableproblem :withstupi
Still suspect it to be a fake driver, but working in every aspect!

Hi, I have the same problem, too. When I try connect the servodrive HBS2206 of Leadshine with a servomotor, I get a communication error windows: "Unknown device. Check wiring and connections." I am using a firewire to usb adaptor and also I tried with a RS232 cable. So, I can not configure my servodrive.
Can you tell me what kind of cable you have used and where you get it ?
