    Where's the parallel port?

So, I just got my new Dell Dimension today. Everything's going great until I go to plug my hasp in and find that while it has plenty of USB ports, it DOESN"T HAVE A PARALLEL PORT! Is there anyway to make this HASP work with a USB port or am I stuck having to crack the case on my brand new Dell and install a parallel port?
I don't know much about anything but I know a little about everything....

You might want to ask your reseller how much it costs to switch to a USB hasp...

Matt there would be a small cost unless his Key is Hasp3.

cdlenterprises what version are you running by chance?

I'm still running version 9. I'm not sure what version the hasp is. I'll most likely end up installing a port into it. I'm sure it will come in handy....

Well in that case go to www.simswap.com and download Haspinfo it will test the hasp to see if you can swap it for free to a Hasp4 if it is a hasp3 and they will send you a USB key.
As for neededing a Parriall port I don't see it unless your printer is.

    Jay,

Would you happen to know why I am now a power user ?

Is this some special privilege being extended to me or what...

I was actually wondering how Toby got to be the Evil Machinist recently...

Sure, it's better than apprentice, right ?

Maybe you could change it to just Power User ?

I was actually wondering how Toby got to be the Evil Machinist recently...

Too many Years in a Machine Shop I guess LOL. If you donate to this site they give you special privleges. For instance a Title that you can edit (Evil Machinist) more space for PM's and uploading abilites.

BTW it has been Evil Machinist for quite some time, like since July of '06
